Butch Clancy has done it AGAIN. He took another one of my songs, “Kiss Me Like You Mean It,” and made it phat, sick, dope, yummy, tasty, sexy, delicious, bomb, neato, sweet, sharp, ace, the tits, peachy, perf, epic, naughty, hawt and/or any other word you’d care to use for “awesome.” I’m so honored to have him work on my music – he’s brilliant.
My song “Kiss Me Like You Mean It” was greatly inspired by Fiona Apple and Elvis Costello’s performance of “I Want You”… I felt so haunted by the performance and it stalked me for a long time after. Out of that, this song was born. I hope you enjoy it – and ‘gift’ it to anyone who’s ever made you cry.

So…Y’all have seen me cover songs in my bedroom, you’ve seen youtube videos of my shows or maybe I’ve played for you on Ustream, but I really wanted to give you a live band experience. And while I can’t tour in all of your hometowns just yet, I figured this was the next best thing. My band: Jon Ketchum (guitar), Cameron Tyler (drums), & Andrew Perusi (bass and fro) and I got together and played through a few of my new songs for you. This one is called “Where I Can’t Follow” and it’s up on iTunes now We shot it at Threshold Sound+ Vision, which has been my studio “home” since I moved to LA as a young’un. Marc Schrobilgen shot/edited it, Peter Barker and Todd Bergman mixed it.

I’ve launched a pledge campaign, raising money to finish my new music, play more shows w/my band and hopefully play shows internationally (I might be coming to a town near you!) Lot of exciting things happening at the moment First and foremost, I’ve been hugely inspired by Stacey Tookey, a choreographer currently working on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (Both U.S. and Canada) – a show I’ve been following for the past 5 years. It’s been a dream of mine to see her use one of my songs for a routine, and last night it actually happened! Stacey used “Gasoline Rainbows” on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I love this song, “The Only Exception” by Paramore, because it’s so ‘bittersweet’… It’s a love song but there’s still a tinge of heartbreak. It’s all around perfect, in my honest opinion. I hope you enjoy! -Amy
